desert pool shirt.
The desert pool shirt is made from a machine tufted chenille blanket from the early 1970’s. It is extremely lightweight, with a beautifully airy drape. The base of the blanket cream colored yarn-dyed woven cotton. The tufted yarns that run vertically are in alternating soft browns and cream. The tufted stripes work together to create an overall unique striped pattern. (This is my second favorite piece.) This garment is super easy. I’m picturing it open with some high waisted trousers and a white undershirt. Or maybe on top of a swim suit on the Mediterranean.
Convertible camp collar
Relaxed
Natural agoya shell buttons
Split side seams
Clean finished interior
Please note that all textiles used are 50 to 125+ years old and may contain irregularities and/or areas of irregular color. All stains and fabric imperfections have been treated by us to the best of our ability and are common with vintage and antique textiles.
