Danny Shirt - Men’s Medium
1960’s soft Terry cloth towels were used to make this shirt. The color is a strong marigold and the sleeves differ slightly in color due to a reason unknown to me.. but perhaps they messed up the wash on something in the 1960s. No clue.
I felt like it needed something extra, so I hand embroidered along a flat portion of the collar. It’s good- much better! Vintage coconut buttons.
This was my first venture tackling a piece made out of towels and I must admit, I was inspired by my good friend @Zepherina who makes beautiful vintage towel women’s wear.
Machine wash on delicate/low cycle in cold water. Hang/lay flat to dry or machine dry on a low heat setting and delicate tumble. You can iron it if you need to. I like to press the collar open on these shirts.
Model is 6’2” and typically wears a Medium *
1/2 Chest (pit to pit): 24”
Front Body Length (from high point shoulder): 27”
Sleeve Length: 9”
Across Back Shoulder: 21”
