Mark Loyd's Camp Shirt - Men's Larger Medium

$211.00
Out of Stock

This is Tommy Loyd's brother Mark Loyd's camp shirt. They both started their National Camping and Hiking Association venture in 1969 at the age of 8. Sadly, it ended in 1979 when they went to college. Cousins or twin brothers? I have no idea. I wish I knew.

Mark was just as well accomplished and decorated as Tommy. All the same patches, but instead of 1960s Marimekko self fabric unrelated to Tommy, I've decided to use Mark's picnic blanket from the same estate. So here is Mark's Camp Shirt made out of his camping picnic blanket. This is slightly heavier!

You can't make this up. Same cut and fit as Tommy's Camp Shirt. We cut the right front on the straight grain and the front left on the cross grain because, as you know - I do not like symmetry and much prefer proportion. Slightly cropped, hip length and nice 1973 style sleeves. We sometimes like to reflect the year of the textile in the finished product over here.

Model is 6’3” and typically wears a Medium.

Should I make matching shorts with the rest of his patches? Yes. I am.

1/2 Chest: 23” (46” total)

Shoulder: 7”

Sleeve: 9 1/4”

Length: 26.5”

This is a vintage textile. Fabric has been laundered but comes as is. Please take care of it!
