1880s German Heirloom Duvet
Cotton duvet cover from 1880s Germany.
Areas of distress have been hand mended with reverse appliqué and patching techniques, which has created a multi-layered front left front.
Lace inlays are hand tatted lace (the lace was made by hand). Fragile, airy, and truly a beautiful work of art. (The textile- I just try to do it justice)
Please note that all textiles used are 50 to 125+ years old and may contain irregularities and/or areas of irregular color. All stains and fabric imperfections have been treated by us to the best of our ability and are common with vintage and antique textiles.
